What type of foundation is required to place a container?

Most sites don’t need a concrete pad. What you do need is a fairly level, firm surface. Cement, pavement, asphalt, and gravel are ideal. Dirt and grass work as long as the ground isn’t soft or wet. For softer ground, placing 2×10, 4×4, or 6×6 hardwood timbers under the container corners helps prevent sinking and allows airflow under the floor.
