Road trailers and flatbeds take on a lot, and so does the risk that comes with putting leased equipment on the road. The Eagle Leasing Collision Damage Waiver covers unexpected damage to your leased road trailer or flatbed resulting from rollovers, low bridge strikes, jackknifes, and other on-road incidents. It does not cover flat tires or rim damage, but for the serious, costly events that can happen even to experienced drivers, it caps your exposure at a $1,000 deductible and covers up to the full replacement cost of the unit. Add it when you set up your rental and drive with confidence knowing that one bad day on the road does not have to become a financial crisis.

Covers a Wide Range of Road Incidents The Collision Damage Waiver covers unexpected damage to your leased road trailer or flatbed resulting from rollovers, low bridge strikes, jackknifes, and other collisions. It is designed for the kinds of incidents that can happen even to experienced drivers on unfamiliar routes.
Applies to Road Trailers and Flatbeds Coverage is specific to Eagle Leasing road units, including road trailers and flatbeds, giving you protection on the equipment that spends time on the road rather than sitting stationary on a job site.
Clear Coverage with a Defined Deductible The Collision Damage Waiver carries a $1,000 deductible for road trailers and covers up to the total replacement cost of the leased unit, giving you a clear understanding of your financial exposure in the event of a claim.
Straightforward to Add Simply ask our sales team about adding the Collision Damage Waiver when setting up your road trailer or flatbed rental. There is no complicated application process.
Protects Against the Costs You Cannot Plan For A rollover, a low bridge strike, or a jackknife can cause significant damage to a trailer in an instant, even when the driver does everything right. Without the Collision Damage Waiver, the full cost of that damage falls on you. With it, your exposure is capped at the deductible.
Keep Your Operation Moving After an Incident A major repair bill on a leased unit at the wrong time can create serious cash flow problems. The Collision Damage Waiver ensures that an unexpected incident on the road does not turn into a financial setback that puts your operation off track.
Peace of Mind on Every Haul Knowing your leased unit is covered against road damage means your drivers and your business can focus on the job rather than worrying about what happens if something goes wrong on an unfamiliar route or in difficult conditions.
Works Best Alongside Contents Insurance The Collision Damage Waiver covers the unit. Contents Insurance covers what is inside it. Together, they provide comprehensive protection for both the trailer and its cargo, removing the two biggest financial risks associated with over-the-road hauling.
Yes. You can add Contents Insurance when you sign your rental agreement or at any point during your rental. Coverage takes effect from the date it’s added, not retroactively. If you want to add coverage, contact your sales rep and we’ll update your agreement.
Yes. You can add accessories like shelving, pipe racks, ramps, lighting, vents, or Eagle Locks at any point during your lease. Call your sales rep, tell us what you need, and we’ll coordinate delivery or installation. Most accessories ship within a few business days.
For storage containers: shelving, pipe racks, interior lighting, ramps, forklift ramps, vents (louvered and turbine), and 13-pound heavy-duty Eagle Locks. For storage and road trailers: Eagle Locks, gladhand locks, kingpin locks, and trailer stairs. For office units: anchoring hardware, skirting, and security options. Ask your sales rep about the full accessories list for your equipment type.
Standard Contents Insurance coverage is $20,000 per unit. If the value of your stored items is higher than that, talk to your sales rep about higher coverage options. For high-value contents, your own commercial property policy may be a better fit alongside or instead of our Contents Insurance.
Every container has a place for you to attach your own padlock. You can use any commercial padlock, but we strongly recommend our 13-pound heavy-duty Eagle Locks for serious protection. Standard padlocks are easy targets. A proper container lock makes a real difference in whether your contents stay where you put them.
Yes. Every Eagle Lock ships with keys. Keep them somewhere safe and accessible. If you lose your keys, call your sales rep. Eagle Locks are heavy-duty, so replacement or cutting requires specialty tools.
Contents Insurance is applied per unit, not per customer. If you’re renting multiple containers or trailers, add Contents Insurance to each unit you want covered. Your rep can structure coverage across your fleet.
A kingpin lock secures the trailer’s kingpin (the pin that connects to the tractor’s fifth wheel), stopping a tractor from hooking up and driving off. A gladhand lock secures the air brake gladhand connections, stopping a thief from connecting an air line and releasing the brakes. For maximum trailer security, run both.
Container shelving is a set of adjustable shelves for small and mid-sized items (tools, parts, boxes, supplies). Container pipe rack is a horizontal rack system for long items (pipe, conduit, lumber, rebar). Different purposes, often used together in the same container to turn it into a real on-site stockroom.
Our Contents Insurance covers the items you store inside an Eagle Leasing container, trailer, or office unit against losses from fire, theft, vandalism, and certain weather events. Coverage limits and specific perils are laid out in the Contents Insurance policy document, which your sales rep will provide at quote time.
