Road-Ready and On-Site Capable Unlike storage trailers, road trailers can transport cargo to any location within the continental United States, while also functioning as secure on-site storage when not in transit. One trailer, two uses.
Compact and Maneuverable At 28 feet, the Pup Trailer fits into tighter delivery locations and urban environments where a full-size 48 or 53 foot trailer simply cannot go. With a cubic capacity of 1,978 cubic feet and a pallet capacity of up to 14 pallets, it handles a serious volume of cargo in a more accessible footprint.
Choice of Door Types Available with swing doors or overhead roll-up doors, and can be equipped with logistic posts and e-tracks for securing loads during transport.
DOT-Inspected and Well-Maintained Every Eagle Leasing road trailer is maintained at one of our state-of-the-art facilities and is DOT-inspected before delivery so you can count on safe, reliable equipment every time.
Move Cargo, Not Just Store It Storage trailers stay on site. Road trailers go where your business needs them to go. If your operation requires moving goods between locations, the 28ft road trailer gives you that flexibility without committing to a larger, harder-to-maneuver unit.
Gets Into Places Larger Trailers Cannot Tight loading docks, urban delivery stops, and constrained job sites are no problem for the Pup Trailer. You get real cargo capacity without the logistical headaches that come with a full-size trailer.
Secure On Site When Not in Transit When the trailer is parked on your lot or at a job site, it functions as secure, weather-resistant storage. Compatible with our Eagle Lock, kingpin locks, and glad hand locks for full on-site security.
Backed by Eagle Leasing Since 1967 Every road trailer in our fleet is maintained at our state-of-the-art facilities and delivered by our professional drivers. Routine maintenance is provided free of charge for all rental equipment.
Many of our road trailers come equipped with either logistic posts (vertical uprights with load bar sockets) or e-track (horizontal rails for strap anchors). Availability varies by unit. If your load needs specific cargo control hardware, tell your sales rep and we’ll match you to the right trailer.
Flatbeds themselves aren’t stacked in use. Cargo on a flatbed can be stacked as long as it’s properly secured and within weight and height limits. Max legal load height for an over-the-road flatbed is typically 13’6″ including the trailer deck.
Yes. Our road trailer rentals include routine wear and tear at our repair facilities. Tires, brakes, lights, and standard mechanical maintenance are all covered under normal use. Damage outside of routine wear (accidents, abuse, neglect) is billed separately per your rental agreement.
A parked storage or road trailer sits roughly 48 to 52 inches off the ground at the floor — matched to standard loading dock height. The top of a standard trailer sits roughly 13’6″ off the ground, which is the max legal height for over-the-road hauling in most states.
Standard dock height in North America is 48 to 52 inches off the ground. Our storage and road trailers are built to line up with standard dock heights, so you can back to a loading dock and roll freight on and off with a forklift or pallet jack.
DOT annual inspections are required for all road trailers. Our rental trailers are inspected on schedule and documented before they go out. If your lease runs past the annual inspection date, we coordinate the re-inspection with you.
The two most common are 11R 22.5 and 295/75R22.5, both standard for over-the-road trailer service. Low-profile 11R 24.5 is also used on some configurations. Tire size should always match what’s specified for the trailer. Don’t substitute.
